Kabira joined the Retrievr team in 2020 after her years as Founder and CEO of Isidore Electronics Recycling and then Homeboy Recycling. Both companies are full service e-waste recycling and IT Asset Disposition social enterprises and both focus on offering employment opportunities to people who face systemic barriers to employment.

Kabira holds a Master’s degree in public policy from the University of Southern California, and has worked for the City of Los Angeles as Senior Field Deputy for (then) Council President Eric Garcetti. Honors and awards include “Sustainable Social Entrepreneur of the Year” by the L.A. Sustainable Business Council and the inaugural “Smart on Crime” award by (then) California Attorney General Kamala Harris.

In 2019, Kabira was featured as the first-ever woman to grace the cover of Recycling Today magazine.

Bob has worked in the solid waste industry for over 30 years. He is responsible for developing and executing retrievr’s national growth plan, focusing on municipal and hauler relationships.

Bob came most recently from ReCommunity Recycling / FCR. During his 12-year stewardship of the Mid-Atlantic region, processing more than tripled to over 530,000 tons per year. Bob managed some of the largest municipal contracts in the company, including the City of Philadelphia and Camden County, NJ.

Bob started his career at Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI) selling commercial waste services, where he managed a 90,000 household residential system before spending several years in M&A for BFI and Allied Waste after Allied’s successful acquisition of BFI in 1999.

Bob serves on the Board of Directors for the PA Recycling Markets Center in an executive capacity as Secretary and the Association of NJ Recyclers (ANJR). He was appointed by the Mayor of Philadelphia to serve on the Solid Waste and Recycling Advisory Committee, and he is a past Board Member of Professional Recyclers of Pennsylvania. Bob received his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University.

Andres is a multilingual Electronic and Software Engineer, fluent in Spanish and English, with close to 10 years of experience in Telecommunications and Technology. He worked as a Network Coordinator for 7 years in Telefonica Venezolana, C.A., in Operation & Maintenance of 2G/3G/4G voice/data CORE networks nationwide in Venezuela.

He came to the United States in 2015 with his wife and two children. He started working in Hospitality in NYC and in 2017 made a transition to web development because he was determined to return to tech.

Andres was in the third cohort of the Bridge to Tech Program offered by NYC Tech Pipeline, in association with The Knowledge House and WorkForce1 where he received the “Best Overall Performance” award after getting a perfect score through the entire course. Later, he was one of the 35 students accepted out of +1300 applications for the NYC Web Development Fellowship at Fullstack Academy of Code.

After graduating in 2018, Andres joined Retrievr as its first Software Engineer. He has dedicated his work in optimizing and incorporating new channels that let people have easier and innovative ways to engage with the company.

He is self motivated and very passionate about solving problems and creating new solutions that have led to exciting new paths and partnerships for the company. Currently exploring Artificial Intelligence technology for features like natural language processing and smart photo recognition.

Sherri joined the Retrievr team as Office Manager after working 3 years as their customer service agent. She is responsible for the customer experience at Retrievr, assisting requests via the online scheduling form, text scheduling, help desk inquiries and phone calls. Prior to joining Retrievr, Sherri worked in a retail environment in many different roles as Accounts Payable, UPC Coordinator, UPC District Trainer, District Secretary and Cash Office Manager with a strong background in customer service.

Caroline Brown is a Managing Director at Closed Loop Partners. In this role, she leads the practice for fashion and beauty across investment platforms.

Caroline has spent over two decades in the fashion industry. Most recently she was CEO of Donna Karan International (DKI) and DKNY, for LVMH. Prior, Caroline served as President of Carolina Herrera, a luxury fashion house headquartered in New York and available in over 100 countries. Prior, Caroline was CEO of Akris, Inc., the Swiss based luxury brand. She began her career at Giorgio Armani with over a decade in leadership roles of Marketing & Communications.

Ron is the Co-Founder and CEO of Closed Loop Partners, an investment firm focused on the development of the circular economy via investments in sustainable consumer goods and packaging companies, innovative recycling technologies and advanced supply chains. Investors include many of the world’s largest retailers and consumer goods companies as well as family offices interested in investments that provide strong financial returns and tangible social impact.

Prior to Closed Loop Partners, Ron was the Deputy Commissioner of Sanitation in New York City in the Bloomberg Administration. He oversaw the collection and processing of NYC’s paper, metal, glass, plastic, textile waste, electronic waste, organics, and hazardous waste as well as public policy. In 2013, NRDC and Earth Day New York named Ron as the Public Official of the Year in New York City.

Chad has over 25 years of highly successful P&L management experience in roles ranging from startup CEO to Fortune 500 senior executive. Chad is currently Global Managing Director of Accenture’s Supply Chain and Procurement Operations business. Previously, he was founder and CEO of Neuwing Energy Ventures, a leading energy consultancy serving Fortune 500 companies. Neuwing was acquired by Procurian, a venture capital-backed procurement outsourcing firm where Chad was instrumental in growing the business and exiting to Accenture. Earlier in his career, Chad held various executive-level positions at QuickPivot, a venture capital-backed CRM and marketing services firm. Chad also worked at GE Capital where he led the creation and operations of a GE-wide Center of Excellence for Customer Relationship Management.

Chad is also a member of the Investment Advisory Committee of Ben Franklin Technology Partners and a Limited Partner in MissionOG.

Jessica brings over two decades of experience, helping organizations increase competitiveness and drive profitable growth while creating positive economic, environmental and societal impact. Prior to joining Closed Loop Partners, Jessica was a Managing Director with Accenture, leading their North America Sustainability and Responsible Business practice. In this role, Jessica led engagements with companies in energy, food, fashion and technology to advance their ESG goals, drive economic value through responsible business and scale circular business models. In addition to working with Fortune 500 companies, she drove multi-stakeholder efforts with the World Economic Forum and the United Nations Global Compact. Prior to that role, Jessica was based in East Africa, leading the company’s work at the intersection of business, international development and emerging markets.

Before joining Accenture, Jessica worked in the United States Senate on issues related to affordable housing and immigration. She is a speaker and author of several papers and studies, including the recently published The Circular Economy Handbook: Realizing the Circular Advantage.

Jessica serves as an advisor to 17 Rooms, the Business & Sustainable Development Commission, the Global Community Engagement & Resilience Fund, the Global Teacher Prize and Rise. She was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

Bob has over 40 years’ experience in the Waste Industry. He owned and operated a private waste company for 14 years, before merging it with BFI Waste Systems in 1984. Bob held executive positions with BFI and Allied waste for 21 years. During this time he developed and grew waste hauling, recycling and compost programs in Eastern PA, while operating one of the largest residential/commercial waste hauling divisions in the company. He started medical waste hauling and disposal on the East Coast for BFI Medical Waste Systems in the mid 1980’s.

From 2005 thru 2013 Bob was the GM/VP of Operations for Recyclebank’s New England and Mid-Atlantic Regions, and he had responsibility for ensuring the success of Recyclebank’s hauler /municipal partner programs.
